Our client has an own platform which enables users and clients to exchange services and among other things make payments. They aim to offer their clients great web and mobile experiences with a big customer centered focus. You will be responsible for designing and building engineering solutions to solve operational challenges for the developers.
In your role you will ensure the developer teams have capabilities to monitor systems for latency, availability and health. You will also take responsibility for automating processes along with taking ownership of tools and platforms related to CI & CD. The main platform is developed in Java but you will also work with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform and Azure.
The company currently have 3 dev-teams where you along with a senior colleague will take responsibility for the mentioned tasks. The group employs a agile way of working with tight communication between and within teams. You’re encouraged to be creative and take initiative to solve problems you discover or present areas of improvement. You can also find yourself presenting new ways of working to the team management or possibly handling one of the tickets and developing a function yourself if you wish and have the skill to do so.
- Design engineering solutions that facilitate the work of developers
- Put monitoring and automation processes in place
- Take ownership of tools and platforms related to CI/CS, configuration-as-code, containerization and cloud provisioning
- Work on developing new processes and tools as the platform develops
- You have a systematic approach to problem solving, strong communication skills, and a sense of ownership and drive
- You have experience with software design in complex environments
- You have experience coding in Java
- Experience with tools like Azure, Kubernetes, Chef, Jenkins, Terraform or similar

ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Our client is an international company providing a unique software across multiple platforms. The Gothenburg branch consists of around 40 employees and three dev-teams with 6-8 members each. You and a SRE colleague will take responsibility for these teams and all of the technical and organizational aspects that need to be put in place for an effective operational organization.
